Power conversion

Power conversion offered by the Meta System product range:

  • HVAC / HVDC conversion (OBC) to convert HVAC voltage into the HVDC voltage used to charge high voltage traction batteries.
  • HVDC / HVLV (DC / DC) conversion to power a vehicle's 12V/48V on-board network with a Low Voltage battery.
  • DC Fast Charge to ensure fast Mode 4 charging of high voltage traction batteries.

Efficiency

The amount of time it takes to charge hybrid and electric vehicles is very important: they require a highly efficient On-Board Charger which can convert electrical current from the mains while offering high power density in a small space and with a light weight. Meta System develops and manufactures Battery Chargers for cars while taking into account costs, space, weight, solidity, power density and efficiency, using modular components for the various power ranges.
